Truck Campers

A Truck Camper is ideal for someone who already owns a truck - the transition to the world of RV camping is easier. Some newer Truck Camper units also come with a slideout, thus providing for expanded living space inside the camper.

Features:
- A truck camper is a recreational vehicle designed for part-time RVing. The living area is placed on the bed of a pickup truck. It's amazing how many features can be packed into these very comfortable units. Access to the living area from the cab is seldom possible, however. This slide-in camper can be easily removed from the truck at the campground or back home, allowing travel in the truck without the weight and/or inconvenience of the camper unit.
- An easy and economical option for anyone who already owns a pickup truck, to become an RVer. Check appropriate size and weight with your RV dealer.
- The compact size makes this RV very handy for travel to and from the campsite, particularly over rough roads. Also the truck is free to tow a boat, snowmobile, ATV or even a horse trailer.
- Detachable camping unit can be set on its own jacks, either at home or at the campsite, allowing the pickup to be used separately.
- Efficient use of space: this is characteristic of these small units, but today's models offer a wide range of floor plans, including some with extended cabovers, popup roofs or slideouts, to maximize living and storage areas.
- Fully winterized versions are available for full-time RVing, including a higher BTU furnace, heated tanks, upgraded insulation and double-glazed windows.
