Types of Accommodations
RVs and Motor Homes - Nearly all of the the parks and campgrounds listed will accommodate RVers/campers traveling in their own or rented recreational vehicles, RVs or motorhomes. Some parks may accommodate every size, shape and style of RV or motorhome, while others may have limitations on the size motor home that can comfortably be accommodated. If you are driving a large motorhome or towing a large trailer, or if your has slideouts, be sure to check that the park you’ve selected can handle your RV. Listings in the directories will indicate big rig sites, but it is always a good idea to call ahead.
Camping Cabins - Many campgrounds and RV parks listed offer camping cabins that can be rented during your stay.
Camping cabins typically are one or two rooms; some may have a full or half bathroom. Camping cabins generally
come equipped with beds, a table and chairs, usually a small porch and a picnic table.
Guests are expected to provide their own sleeping bags or linens and cooking gear.
Some parks do rent some or all of the necessities to enjoy a camping cabin stay.
Tents - Most of the parks and campgrounds listed in the directories welcome tenters and many have set aside special areas
that have extra appeal for tenters. There may be a few parks or campgrounds listed that exclusively serve tenters.
On-Site Trailer Rentals - Many parks offer travel trailers already set up on a campsite and fully equipped for guests to enjoy the RV experience even if they don’t own their own rig. These RVs usually accommodate up to 6 people, include full bathroom facilities and can be rented for any length of stay. Be sure to check with the park about linens, towels, eating utensils, etc. since the inclusion of these items varies from park to park.
Park Models - Park models are the largest type of recreational vehicle and many RV parks and campgrounds offer these fully furnished, comfortable units for rent. Most can easily accommodate 4 people and many have lofts or a second bedroom, which increases the number of people who can be accommodated. As with trailer rentals, always check about the amenities and supplies included with the park model.
Cabins - Many parks offer fully furnished log cabins complete with one or two bedrooms, a living room, small kitchenette, bathroom and porch. These units are often fully equipped with linens, towels, kitchen utensils and all the amenities you’d expect to find in this type of accommodation. Again, always check ahead.
